GAF Secret Santa 2011

Shiiiiiit! Well, my gift finally made it through customs and went international... after a week being held up there!

Hopefully it arrives really early next week, just barely missing Christmas for poor Tiny Tim.

Santa got caught up by border patrol this year it seems
 
I know that feel, GAF bros. Mine hasn't posted either, but I grabbed Delivery Confirmation and it confirms the package was received. Good peace of mind to have for an extra buck or two, if you ask me (although outside the US, I'm sure prices and availability for such a service are very different.)

Biig Thanks to my Secret Santa from Japan. Most of it looks pretty tasty.. (except this weird skin i dont even know what it is haha but it made a good conversation topic today :D).
So nice that it came perfectly in time. Can't wait to try everything out. :)

The stuff came in an envelope. The day it was delivered it was raining pretty badly and it came with the standard postman, so it got pretty wet. But aside from some dents in the game box and some scruffy edges on the graphic novel everything is fine. Sadly, I had to open it as I got it, so it lay around the last 2 weeks, taunting me...

Graphic novel: Amazing, really cool and something I wouldn't have thought of to look for myself.
Novel: A classic that I admittedly didn't yet read. Until now!
Game: Well, I already own it, but you couldn't know that. Aside from that, it seriously is my favourite game, ever!

To make it short: your gifts are right up my road and couldn't be any more fitting :)

I don't own that game and I'm sure I'll make good use of the PSN Card. Where in the world did you find a Series 5 World of Springfield figure still in it's original packaging? Even though I already have a complete World of Springfield collection(All 16 series, all playsets, All exclusives, all mail aways, everything), I'm sure I can find a good home for Martin somewhere
Well when I get around to displaying my collection:(

I also haven't read a gaming magazine in years, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

You're welcome man. I found the Martin toy on Amazon. I wasn't sure which characters you had, but I figured you would have the main guys like Bart, Homer, etc. I hope you like ass creed and I picked up a PSN card just in case you already had that game. Merry Christmas!
 
I opened my GAF secret Santa present for Christmas Eve. Great stuff, pics in a bit.

The wife and kids were entertained because one of the candies had me puckering so hard I was rendered immobile and weeping for a minute solid.
 
I've opened my Secret Santa gift tonight since tomorrow will be rather busy.

I received the board game, Formula D, and its expansion track!

The whole package was wonderfully put together, and it's a hilarious and wonderful mix.

The package, just before opening. The wrapping 'paper' was really lovely, we'll be reusing it.

Gummies, pixie stix, glow bracelets (all smash hits with both me and my daughters - they both took a bracelet to bed tonight), along with some Japanese candy and cookies, and a cool Halo lego toy. Also - sparkly purse. w00t!

This is one of the pics of me suffering mightily entertaining the wife and kids as I suck on one of the lemon bombs. My older daughter helpfully held the candy out for the picture. They wanted to me to pose, but it was all I could do to sit up at that point. I haven't had something that sour in a good 20 years or so. My face is imploding inward like a dying star. 0_o

Thanks! I'm excited, I haven't had the chance to play this game yet! I also frequently host board game parties at my place (monopoly, scrabble, uno, life, clue, apples to apples). So this will be a fine addition to this collection.

I don't participate in GAF SS (I'm a bad gifter), but one of my favorite parts about Christmas is looking through all the neat stuff that people get in this exchange. It really is incredibly cool. Especially exciting to see international exchanges. Props to the OP for setting it up!

Ok fellow GAFfers, my turn to post what I did get!

First I was surprised to see my SS was from the US since I was sure I was getting someone from Europe.

I got a letter, it says... BELIEVE

Loved the postcard! I decided to open it and I must say that Secret Santa in the corner is so cute!

Inside there was a letter. I love written letters btw, it gives that personal touch I like. My Secret Santa decided to use the "Search" here on GAf instead of my gift ideas and he found out that, when the OT3 of Steam Started there were people showing/posting/talking about their Steam Library. I posted mine saying: "I must have one of the smallest Libraries on Steam-Gaf" I only have a couple of games (since I only have a humble Laptop)

So, my Secret Santa decided that I could not have a tiny Library on Steam no more and let me grab a couple of games on Steam! I asked him if we could get some of the games on Steam Holiday Sale and that's it, tracking and waiting for those awesome deals for my humble Laptop!

Also got LIMBO, AVP and I may have a couple more but I wanted to share on this day and thank my Kind Santa as soon as possible for his time and availability to gift me these Games on Steam! Thank you very much! :)

My Tiny Tim hasn't been on NeoGaf since Dec. 7th, though he was also my SS apparently and sent me something. But I'd at least like to know he got what I sent.

Totally not under my interests for a SS present, but bang on anyway. I Loved the living fuck outta SoTC on PS2 and always wanted to play ICO, but it was always impossible to find. Playing through SoTC will be a blast again too, that game made me a sad panda at the end. :( Definitely one of my favourite games of all time Love the extra Maui treats too, potato chips with milk chocolate seems......interesting to say the least. I must track down my SS GAF stalker now :p

Thanks so much [gaffer whose name I can't make out]!

The harmonica is so awesome. The chocolate is delicious and finally someone sent me a theatre program in my third year of doing this :) The Berlin book is kind of funny as I've already been there once and my wife lived in Germany for quite a few months before we got together, but maybe we'll be back! Her brother lives in Dresden.

Oh, and now a baby playing a Harmonica :)

Good choice, as I haven't played it in years and my DS is in need of a good dust off! (Plus American DS boxes are pretty cool.)

Not much compared to some other people's gifts, but I'm not complaining as I know cash is short these days. Cheers Secret Santa!
