Might just get this! 17gig on a 2TB HDD barely scratches it.
Feel sorry for everyone with a download cap right about now.

WHAT!? That's insane for a fighting game! What the hell?

That's more than half the space the Deluxe Wii U has!

Probably the cutscenes being uncompressed.

Edit: It's about the same size as the PS3 version.

Jesus at that space. Hopefully developers won't start uncompressing things unnecessarily boosting the file sizes. It would take forever to download this through wifi.

^Here's your answer.

When you've got 25GB discs to play with, incredibly high bitrate 1080p video seems like a great idea. Less so when you realise it's a download title too.

That's enough room for 176 games of that size.. I think you're fine with 1TB (58). Heck 500GB is enough room to host 29 games.

Naw, each costume should be no more than 20mb.

So even if this game featured a 100 costumes in all, that would only result in 2GB of space being taken up by them.

Yeah, I think he is confusing Iwata stating that all Nintendo published titles as being available digitally day 1 from now on. Third party titles aren't included unless nintendo is publishing I believe, such as Bayonetta 2. Wonder if Ninja Gaiden will be. Nintendo is handling it this time right?

Well it's obvious that the entire game is pre-rendered.......but seriously, wtf? I would rather have the game run at 1080p and have 720p cut scenes than the other way around.....

Someone's underpants are too tight it seems.
Since the PS3 and Wii U both have similar capacity discs, it stands to reason they would use the same high-res, high bitrate cinematics and other stuff.

The funny thing is though, even Sony doesn't really seem to have any digital downloads for games that make good use of Blu-Ray's space. For instance, none of the Uncharted games are on the PS Store.

Anyway just seems kinda impractical to me unless you have blazing internet and hundreds of gigabytes of HDD space.
