Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 3DS site updates, AR functionality, town building #1

Quote:
"Find it! Magnagate", uses 3DS's onboard camera. Taking a picture of a round item, such as a ball, cup, CD, etc. will create a portal that will suck your Pokemon in. This portal is a dungeon. Any round item can be used as an entrance to a dungeon. The dungeons change each time you take a picture of a round object. Legendary Pokemon, such as Lugia or Houhou, can also be encountered through the Magnagate feature.

Another new feature is the town building aspect called "Pokemon Paradise". Pokemon Paradise involves cultivating the ravaged land and building various facilities. The town can be developed in anyway you'd like.

Materials are necessary in order to cultivate the land. To claim these, complete tasks in dungeons. Facilities can also rank up.

Pokemon Paradise has a number of facilities, including Nuo's Management (Pokemon management, pick your Pokemon partner from here), Zuruggu's Wazaggu (learn or forget Pokemon skills here), Mariruri's Job Bulletin Board (accept jobs here, such as warranties on Pokemon or saving Pokemon), and V Roulette. V Roulette lets you change the daily V Wave. V Wave is a mysterious wind that blows in the Pokemon world. There are different types of V Waves, and it's advantageous to adventure with the same type of Pokemon as the day's V Wave.

Pokemon partners have "heart waves" that you'll acquire as you progress in a dungeon. Once you acquire all of these heart waves, you can use a special attack that lets you attack with everyone. Attacking with everyone damages all surrounding enemy Pokemon, and also recovers HP corresponding to the protagonist Pokemon's type. After being used once, you must acquire all the heart waves to use it again.

Skills can also rank up if you use them often. This will increase a skill's power, accuracy, or PP. Example shown is ranking up Lightning II to Lightning III. Once a skill has been ranked up, your other Pokemon can use that skill with the same ranked up effect.

Team skills can also be found in dungeons. Some of these include making it more difficult to step on traps, or showing the amount of items contained in a dungeon.

There's also a mini game on the site that you can play to get a password that can be used in game.

Wait, are the Black/White starters plus Pikachu and Axew really the only choices for the main characters? Explorers of Sky had 21 to choose from.

Yeah, it seem like it.

Game looks clean and cute, though. Hopefully, the next main games have at least this level of '3D'. I wouldn't even mind a more detailed/modeled version of the DS style with 3D battles and a more free camera in some areas (Like the big city in BW).
Still, I'm not a huge fan of Dungeon games, but I have to get it anyway.

So hyped for this, I really loved the first games so I'm hoping this gets localized quickly. <3

Those might just be the ones announced so far. There should be more. I'd say just be patient. O:

I'm going to buy this because we've missed so many Shiren games and I'm going to hate myself for it, aren't I?

Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky had some optional challenges at the end that were actually kinda challenging, but overall they are easier games.

So probably.

Well, I really enjoyed Explorers of Sky, but I also don't normally like roguelike games. Sky wasn't a substitute for a Shiren game if you're looking for that type of challenge.

These games are not bad, but I wish they included exclusive pokemon to be transferred to the main games (at least a manaphy).
